NEW ZEALAND
New to tea, New Zealand has come a long way in just a few decades. Its only commercial tea estate began in 1996 with 130 tea cuttings. Today, this estate—located in the upper North Island, or Te Ika-a-Maui, where the terroir is perfect for growing tea plants rich with flavor—has 1.2 million plants! It also produces some fine teas.
Zealong is a unique, delicate, and somewhat floral oolong. A premium tea that was hand picked, this oolong is velvety soft and sweet. It can be infused multiple times.
