Camellia sinensis leaves are picked and fully oxidized to create this dark cup. Although most commonly associated with Indian regions like Assam and Darjeeling, black classic teas are also found in China, Vietnam, Africa, and a few other tea-growing regions. These lesser-known regions are slowly beginning to rival the more classic regions. In some cultures, black tea is referred to as red tea.
